Baked Chicken Shawarma

- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 2 TBS olive oil
- 3 TBS lemon juice
- 2 TBS garlic squeeze tube
Place the dry marinade ingredients in a large bowl and mix to blend.
Add the chicken pieces and toss them with the dry spices to coat thoroughly.
Add the remaining wet marinade ingredients and stir to evenly coat the chicken. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 4 hrs.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the chicken pieces on a rimmed baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Bake the chicken until cooked through, about 15 mins,
Serve with warm pita bread and side Greek salad.
