Smokey Maple Flavor
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tsp liquid smoke Mesquite
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Smokey Mesquite Flavor
- ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 2 TBS Brown sugar
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 TBS liquid smoke Mesquite
Trim the visible fat from the meat. Place the meat in the freezer for 30-60 mins. This will make t easier to slice in thin pieces.
Combine marinade ingredients.
Remove the meat from the freezer and slice ¼" strips against the grain. Use a meat mallet to even thickness.
Put the sliced meat and marinade a glass bowl and massage until all slices are covered evenly. Marinate in the fridge overnight.
Remove meat slices and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess marinade.
Place meat pieces on dehydrator drying racks with plenty of spaces in between for easy air flow.
Dry for 5½ - 6 hours at 165° F.
