Ingredients
  

Smokey Maple Flavor

  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke Mesquite
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Smokey Mesquite Flavor

  • ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 TBS Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 TBS liquid smoke Mesquite

Instructions
 

  • Trim the visible fat from the meat. Place the meat in the freezer for 30-60 mins. This will make t easier to slice in thin pieces.
  • Combine marinade ingredients.
  • Remove the meat from the freezer and slice ¼" strips against the grain. Use a meat mallet to even thickness.
  • Put the sliced meat and marinade a glass bowl and massage until all slices are covered evenly. Marinate in the fridge overnight.
  • Remove meat slices and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess marinade.
  • Place meat pieces on dehydrator drying racks with plenty of spaces in between for easy air flow.
  • Dry for 5½ – 6 hours at 165° F.
  • Package and share!
