Pizza Cone Appetizers

Cheese and pepperoni filled individual pizza cones to dip in marinara sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 13.8 oz tube PillsburyTM refrigerated Classic pizza crust
  • 16 metal cone form molds
  • 1/3 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 TBS parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 oz turkey pepperoni slices
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400° F.
  • Unroll pizza crust dough and roll out to ~(16”x8”) rectangle. Using a pizza cutter, cut ½” strips of dough (32 x 8”strips.).
  • Lightly spray the outside of the metal cone molds with PAM spray. Wrap one strip of dough around the cone starting from the bottom working your way up. Make sure the dough slightly overlaps as your wrap the cone so it sticks to itself. Seal the bottom of the cone by pinching the hole closed.
  • Place wrapped cones onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 7-8 mins until lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool for ~10 mins. Carefully remove dough from molds, then repeat process for next 16 cones.
  • Chop pepperoni slices and mix with the other filling ingredients in a bowl. Using a small spoon, fill each cone with filling all the way up. Seal each cone up by placing one pepperoni slice on top.
  • Bake another 5-6 mins until golden brown.
